David + Jonathan

David + Jonathan explores the power of 'The Father' to destroy love and life. It tells an archetypal story of a tragic romance, inspired by Biblical references.

It is a non-straight street photography project. Consisting of a short film built with still images. All the images were shot on the streets of New York and then manipulated to illustrate scenes from the movie. From image to image the characters of David and Jonathan are portrayed by different faces sourced from my street photography.

Additionally, some selected images are exhibited as prints. The film had its debut at the Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival in Hollywood. It was also included in NewFest, New York’s LGBTQ film festival. Concurrently with NewFest these ten prints were exhibited at Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art in Manhattan.
