Circus of Books

Circus of Books, a celebrated LGBTQ pornography bookshop in West Hollywood, shut its doors in early 2019. Unable to cope with the competition from Amazon and dating apps, the shop—with decades of history under its belt—was forced to close. As a heartfelt ode to the bookstore, Circus of Books gathers testimonials from fans, pornographers, artists, writers and the press, in recognition of the community that thrived between its shelves.
